“The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves.” — Steven Spielberg
As entrepreneurs, finding someone that you can trust and look up to for support, advice and guidance in your business can be difficult.
It has been said that finding a great mentor is like finding a great friend - it is hard to advertise for a great friend!
In this month's Entrepreneurs Anonymous we will help you find the qualities to look for in a mentor, how to engage with a mentor and how to make the most of the relationship with your mentor. We will also explore the differences between coaching and mentoring and the formal and informal ways of engaging with these supports for you.
We will have 3 speakers who have professional and practical experience of the value and importance of mentorship and coaching in building a successful career and business life. Our MC Max Thiel will interview the speakers individually for around 20 minutes each and then the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions.
We will be exploring questions such as:
How do I find a mentor for my business and career? How do I know they are the right fit for me?
How do I approach a mentor and what do I ask them to do ?
Should I pay for mentoring? If so, how much?
Can I have more than one mentor? Is this a good idea?
What is the difference between mentoring and coaching?
What does a good mentor do? What are the qualities of a good mentor?
What can I expect from a business coach? What are the qualities of a good coach?
There will be around 60 friendly people at this event, and it is always overbooked, so do arrive early to secure your seat.
We can't wait to see you there!
