Join us for the Entrepreneurial Party of the year! Featuring founders of Bizimply and Foodcloud as speakers. This time presenting how they achieved success using GRIT, as we all know it's true: There is no such thing as overnight success.
Complimentary nibbles and welcome drinks provided by the EntAnon gang and we'll present a new way of networking.
As usual on a Last Tuesday night we offer honest entrepreneur stories. The talks are of course followed by fun networking with like minded people.
Gerard Forde - co-founder of Bizimply Employee Schedule and attendance software.
Iseult Ward - co-founder of FoodCloud connecting businesses that have too much food to charities in their communities that have too little
Gerard Forde is one of the founders of Bizimply. Bizimply is an all-in-one people and shift management solution; combining day-to-day management tasks – scheduling, HR, Clock-in, shift reporting, training schedules – along with a dashboard that makes regular contact with the business an easy task.
Bizimply is built with all the passion and enthusiasm gained from years of service industry experience. Gerard himself studied Food Business in the 90s in Cork, worked as a director for the café chain Nude for several years and as a manager for Aramark.
With a 2m investment recently received by Dublin and London-based private equity fund, Causeway Capital, led the funding round alongside 500 Startups, a leading Silicon Valley global venture capital seed fund Bizimply plan to grow further striving to be the biggest HR company in the world (P.S they are hiring). Gerard also remembers he was at an Entrepreneurs Anonymous meeting some years ago...
Iseult Ward - co-founder of FoodCloud
Iseult Ward founded FoodCloud in 2012 together with Aoibheann O’Brien. They met at a social entrepreneurship event and realized they were both eager to tackle the issues of food waste. After a lot of research on the topic and conversations with stakeholders they concluded most impact could be reached through involving food retailers and mobile technology.
In July 2014 FoodCloud announced a ground-breaking partnership with Tesco that will see all surplus food from their 146 stores redistributed to charities across Ireland.
FoodCloud is now expanding to the UK. The FoodCloud app allows Tesco and other retailers to upload details of their surplus food every day at a particular time and specify a time for collection. From here a text message is then sent out to all the foodcloud partner charities in the community to notify them of the offer. When a charity accepts the donation, they collect it from the relevant Tesco store within the time period specified.
Come to this Last Tuesday to hear the story, the challenges and successes of the social entrepreneur Iseult and how she strives for a world where no good food goes to waste...
We will also introduce The Mixer, where you who want to, can introduce yourself and what you do for 10secs to the audience. A corner of the venue will be reserved for this.
